Most hauliers won't tell you how they arrive at a number. We will — because when you can see the working, you can check it.

Choose the vehicle
Each one lists its maximum pallets and maximum payload. Enter your load and anything that can't legally carry it is rejected before you get a price — no nasty surprises on the day.

Enter both postcodes
We look up each postcode against Ordnance Survey data, then measure the actual driving route between the two points. That mileage — not a straight line — is what you are charged for.

See the price, itemised
Base rate, mileage, pallets, and any minimum-charge adjustment, all broken out. VAT is shown as its own line so you can see the ex-VAT figure at a glance. No account, and no callback, to get this far.

Create your account — when you want to keep it
Name, email, phone, password. It takes under a minute, and it is what lets us hold your quote under a reference and reach you on the day of collection.

Save it, or request the booking
Saving costs nothing and holds the price under its own reference. Requesting a booking sends it to the office, who confirm the slot with you before anything is committed.

+ (driving miles × per-mile rate)
+ (pallets × per-pallet rate)
= subtotal, or the vehicle's minimum charge, whichever is higher

Questions about pricing
What exactly goes into the price?
Three components: a fixed base rate for the vehicle, a per-mile rate applied to the driving distance between your two postcodes, and a per-pallet rate applied to the number of pallets. If those three add up to less than the minimum charge for that vehicle, the minimum charge is used. VAT is then added at the current rate.
How do you measure the mileage?
Both postcodes are resolved to map coordinates, then a routing engine calculates the road distance a vehicle would actually drive between them. Where routing is temporarily unavailable we fall back to a straight-line distance adjusted for typical UK road winding, and the quote says so.
Does the price change after I save it?
No. Every saved quote stores the figures exactly as they were calculated. If we later change our rate card, your existing quote is unaffected.
What happens when I request a booking?
The office is notified immediately and the quote moves to 'Booking requested'. Someone will confirm the collection slot with you. Nothing is charged at that point, and you can cancel a request yourself until it is confirmed.
Can I get a price without registering?
Yes. The calculator on the home page prices any UK route without an account — same rate card, same itemised breakdown.
